Over 12,000 people joined us in Paris for KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2024 and while we talked about everything from artificial intelligence to sustainable computing, the biggest takeaway was the incredible power of community. The community made Kubernetes and the cloud native movement happen, and that same community is now driving adoption of AI, platform engineering, and even “greener” computing initiatives.

Co-located events

The co-located events at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2024 are always very popular presentations that offer a deep dive into a particular project, technology, or process. This year the co-located events continued to be incredibly well attended and, for those new to the conference, this was a quick and easy way to meet and network with peers. All of the co-located events are available on YouTube (this link takes you to the playlists for each co-located event…click on “view full playlist” and enjoy!). Or, take a quick look at Cloud Native AI Day Europe, Platform Engineering Day Europe, AppDeveloperCon Europe, the Cloud Native Startup Fest and a lot more.

Day one: how cloud native is powering the AI movement

No surprise, AI was *everywhere* during this first full day of KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2024. From the keynotes to the AI Hub to a myriad of how-to presentations, discussion of how to leverage cloud native to get the most out of AI – and vice versa – was fast and furious, not to mention very exciting. Day two: the power of sustainable computing

Cloud native can and will help improve our environmental footprint, and that was the theme of this day at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2024. From responsible innovation to green IT and revolutionizing cloud native architectures, the keynotes and other presentations throughout the day tackled this important subject. Day three: the past and future of Kubernetes and cloud native

What better way to wrap up an incredible conference than by looking back at how far cloud native and Kubernetes has come and forward to what is in store? There was so much progress, and so much more we will be working towards – from growing diversity and inclusiveness to the future of application development – and all of the speakers were thought-provoking and also reassuring.
