Finland and especially Helsinki has a very strong cloud native community. The Helsinki Kubernetes Meetup started already 7 years ago and brings together cloud native practitioners and contributors from startups to banks and even the national television of Finland. Turku and Tampere also have Kubernetes Meetups and the three cities are working together. KCD Helsinki is a natural step forward for the Finnish cloud native community and puts Finland to the map of KCDs. Tickets were sold out, speaker slots overfilled and sponsor spots gone way before the event. This shows that the event was needed for Helsinki and was a great start of a longer journey.
