NetEase Games

Not only is NetEase the fifth largest gaming company in the world, they also operate e-commerce, advertising, music streaming, online education, and email platforms throughout China. With that kind of scale, the NetEase Cloud team realized they needed an infrastructure to support it. In 2015, NetEase decided to base their private cloud platform on Kubernetes.

Today, NetEase reports that their internal cloud platform supports 30,000 nodes in a single cluster. Moving to Kubernetes has increased their R&D efficiency by more than 100% and deployment  efficiency by 280%. The new platform also allows for mixed deployments using GPU and CPU resources. Get the details by reading the case study.
