Security Slam at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe took a bold new direction this year. Unlike previous editions, 2025 focused on deep, collaborative sprints with a select group of CNCF projects. Inspired by initiatives like the Kubernetes Lightning Round, four projects—Flux, OpenTelemetry, Meshery, and OSCAL Compass—took center stage for live 45-minute security sessions. Maintainers and contributors teamed up to tackle real-world tasks, guided by the Open Source Project Security Baseline. Open to all and backed by Sonatype-sponsored prizes, Security Slam 2025 emphasized impact over duration—fostering fast-paced, meaningful collaboration to strengthen the cloud native security landscape.
