As the first hybrid KubeCon + CloudNativeCon, this year’s North America event brought together the community online and in person.
The conference had 23,164+ registrants; 3,531 in-person registrants and 19,633 virtual registrants. There was a 96% attendance rate for in-person attendees and a 72% attendance rate for virtual attendees. Of this year’s online registrants, 67% were first-time KubeCon + CloudNativeCon attendees while 60% of the in-person registrants were first-timers. Feedback from attendees was positive, with 93% of respondents rating the event “good,” “very good,” or “excellent” and an overall average rating of 4.1 / 5. The top two reasons respondents cited for attending KubeCon + CloudNativeCon were career growth/training (43%) and networking (30%).
