We’re happy to announce that, following the growing interest in and adoption of Cloud Native technologies in Thailand, an official chapter was just launched within the CNCF platform: Cloud Native Bangkok.
Local enthusiasts from various companies formed it to connect the community of developers, operators, and users of Kubernetes and other Cloud Native technologies in Thailand. The new chapter will host regular online and offline events to spread knowledge, facilitate Cloud Native adoption, establish new professional connections, and collaborate on projects focused on fulfilling local needs, such as translating official documentation in Thai.
The Cloud Native Bangkok organizers include:
- Saritrat Jirakulphondchai, Co-Founder at Jumpbox;
- Jirayut Nimsaeng, CEO at Opsta (Thailand) Co., Ltd.;
- Phisinee Sagulvanitchaporn, Co-Founder / Community Builder Lead at Jumpbox;
- Mongkol Thongkraikaew, Head of Platform Engineering at Ascend Money;
- Damrongsak Reetanon, Chief Information Security Officer at MFEC;
- Sharkrit Impat, Head of Platform Engineering at Ascend Bit Company (ABC);
- Natechawin Suthison, Chief Technology and Product Officer at R’ket;
- Dmitry Shurupov, Co-Founder at Palark, a CNCF Ambassador;
- Sureeporn Yau, Co-Founder / Creative Community Builder Lead at Jumpbox.
Cloud Native Bangkok’s first event will be held in a virtual format and is scheduled later this month, on May 22nd. It will use a bilingual approach, featuring talks in Thai and English.
The organizers of this community plan to host more meetups in the future and eventually bring a bigger Kubernetes Community Day (KCD) event to Thailand.
Join the newly created community group and the CNCF Slack’s #thailand channel to connect with Cloud Native enthusiasts in Thailand and stay informed about further activities! If you’re based in Thailand or know someone who might be interested in joining this new community, feel free to spread the word.
