Data on Kubernetes Day (also known as DOK Day) is, as its name suggests, a deep dive into how to get the most out of data workloads running on Kubernetes. Learn from experts about the new challenges and integrations of AI and Kubernetes, as well as get a pulse on other trending topics in the data workload space. DOK Day started as a virtual event in March of 2020, and has been part of the CNCF co-located events program since KubeCon Chicago 2023. We’re excited to gather with our community in Paris this March!
Who will get the most out of attending Data on Kubernetes Day Europe?
DOK Day is of interest to a wide variety of technical professionals including those just stepping into the world of Kubernetes and data. More advanced presentations will be useful for database architects, SREs, and anyone else building applications on top of Kubernetes. We try to have something to offer everyone, no matter where they are on the journey.
What is new and different this year?
Due to the increased intensity of data workloads in AI/ML on Kubernetes, we intentionally added AI-focused content into the mix this year. Talks will include how to build a metadata-driven ML platform from scratch, how to enable a hot restart of stateful applications in AI/ML workloads, and how to use an advanced CSI-FUSE filesystem. Tutorials and sessions will also center around the power of cloud native as well.
What will the day look like?
This half-day event kicks off in the afternoon with a look at who the DoK community is and how we work with CNCF and Apache projects to find solutions for DoK. The half-day event will include in-depth tutorials, sessions, and ample networking opportunities to encourage getting involved with the community. We are excited to get folx together ahead of the larger KubeCon event and to get more involved with this community. This is a great way to kick off your full event experience.
