The third annual EnvoyCon took place on October 15th and was a big success!

Envoy, the third project to graduate from CNCF, is a cloud native high-performance edge/middle/service proxy well suited for cloud native and service mesh applications. Envoy has been widely adopted throughout the industry in a variety of different deployment scenarios and we were able to see how impactful this technology really is at the conference this year. Envoy’s extensibility, performance, quality, API driven configuration, and community have all been drivers for the rapid growth of the project.

Last week, attendees got to see a diverse set of talks on topics from Envoy on Windows and preventing production incidents due to an Envoy misconfiguration to end-user case studies from Tinder and Niantic, the creators of Pokemon Go. The session slides are available on the event schedule from the speakers who provided them and session video content will be available on the CNCF YouTube Channel by early November.
