Prometheus Graduates!

We are excited to announce that Prometheus has graduated! Created at SoundCloud in 2012, Prometheus integrates with Kubernetes to support service discovery and monitoring of dynamically scheduled services. The project was contributed to CNCF in May 2016, and since then, Prometheus has had 30 official releases.

Congratulations to the Prometheus team! Read more in the Announcement and the Prometheus blog.

CoreDNS is Looking for User Feedback

CoreDNS  is now part of Kubernetes, delivering the DNS and Discovery Service. Most of the installation tools of Kubernetes, such as kubeadm and kops allow you to install CoreDNS as the DNS Service, in place of usual kube-dns in-house tool.

In order to evaluate the adoption rate, and the tuning of CoreDNS configuration that is most often used, we built a survey form. If you are using CoreDNS as DNS Service of Kubernetes, please, take time to fill the survey and provide us some feedback.

EnvoyCon CFP Closes August 24

EnvoyCon is taking place on December 10 in conjunction with KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America. Originally built at Lyft and now a CNCF incubating project, Envoy is a high performance C++ distributed proxy designed for single services and applications, as well as a communication bus and “universal data plane” designed for large microservice “service mesh” architectures.

Interested in sharing your expertise on Envoy? Submit a proposal to speak by August 24!

New Kubernetes Case Studies – Pinterest and Sling TV

One thing all these companies have in common: they have used Kubernetes and other CNCF projects to simplify their infrastructure and delivery applications faster.
