Dan Kohn
Executive Director
Dan Kohn leads the Cloud Native Computing Foundation.
Dan previously served as CTO of several startups, including Spreemo, a healthcare marketplace, and Shopbeam, a shoppable ads company. Earlier, he was a general partner at Skymoon Ventures, a $70 million seed-stage venture capital firm that created startups in semiconductors and telecom infrastructure. He also helped create and launch the Linux Foundation’s Core Infrastructure Initiative. Dan helped manage a number of telecoms firms controlled by Craig McCaw and started his career as founder and CEO of NetMarket, one of the first Internet companies. In 1994, he led the development of the first music store on the web, including conduction the first secure commercial transaction, deploying the first commercial database-backed website, and implementing the first shopping cart.
Chris Aniszczyk
Chris Aniszczyk brings more than 15 years experience as The Linux Foundation’s vice president of Developer Programs.
His work is focused on working with developer community to advance open source projects at scale. Previously Aniszczyk served as Twitter's head of open source, where he led a team of developer advocates and was responsible for Twitter's open source engineering, strategy and culture. He has also contributed to Gentoo Linux and served on the Eclipse Foundation's Board of Directors and the Java Community Process Executive Committee. An engineer by trade, Aniszczyk brings a passion for both open source and community development to the organization.​
Natasha Woods
Senior PR Manager
With more than a decade of tech PR experience, Natasha has worked for some of the industry’s more recognized agencies and technology companies.
With assignments at Fleishman-Hillard, Weber Shandwick and Comcast, she has honed in on the enterprise software space generating stories in The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Reuters, CNBC, Forbes, TechTarget, Network World and CRN, among others. A Certified Industry Analyst Relations Professional (CIARP) and experienced digital strategist, Natasha is an expert on influencing the influencers on new and often difficult to understand concepts. Natasha has a BA in communications from California State University San Marcos.
Vanessa Heric
Event Services Manager
Vanessa Heric is an Event Services Manager for The Linux Foundation, managing global events for The Linux Foundation’s Collaborative Projects.
She has over 15 years experience producing conferences, corporate meetings, trade shows & consumer events for Fortune 500 Companies in both the IT and golf industries. Vanessa holds a BS in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Katie Schultz
Meeting and Event Planner
Katie Schultz has been an Event and Meeting Planner for The Linux Foundation since 2014 for The Linux Foundation’s Collaborative Projects.
She has over 7 years experience in producing and managing conferences, corporate meeting and trade shows for an arrange of startup and large IT companies. Katie holds a BS in Hospitality, Tourism and Event Planning from Metropolitan State University of Denver, Colorado.
Sarah Conway
Director of PR
Sarah oversees account service on Linux Foundation Collaborative Projects.
With more than 20 years of technology and open source PR experience, she has managed teams for some of the most innovative brands in software. A veteran of Page One PR, Schwartz Communications and Golin/Harris International, Conway previously handled media relations for start-up launches, IPO offerings as well as publicly traded companies. She also served as a reporter for Gannett Newspapers and holds a BS from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
Katie Stern
Director of Event Services
Katie Stern is the Director of Event Services at The Linux Foundation, overseeing event management services for The Linux Foundation’s Collaborative Projects Division.
Prior to joining The Linux Foundation, she served as Director of Production at world-renown experiential marketing agency, George P. Johnson, leading events such as Cisco's Global Sales Experience (GSX) and Cisco's Partner Summit. Stern also ran the Electronics portfolio of conferences at UBM, including: DesignCon, ESC (Embedded Systems Conference) and the newly launched Designers of Things. She has previously held roles in conference management, content management, conference services and production management, for organizations such as: PR University/Bulldog Reporter, Embassy Suites, MusicFest Orlando/Contest of Champions, Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, Walt Disney World® and University of Oregon. Stern holds a BSBA from Nova Southeastern University and a MS in Hospitality and Tourism, specializing in Events and Conventions from Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida. She is passionate about developing the next generation of event professionals and advancing the dialogue around women in technical fields.​
